Better Place tests electric taxis in Japan by battery swap

TOKYO, Japan - Shai Agassi, founder and chief executive officer of Better Place, a U.S. firm developing electric car infrastructure, introduces an electric taxi that uses battery-swapping technology during a launch event in Tokyo on April 26, 2010. Better Place will partner with Nihon Kotsu Co., Japan's biggest taxi company, to operate through July 31 three electric taxis powered by lithium ion batteries with a driving range of around 100 kilometers.
